First ONNX Meetup in Europe - Workshop on ONNX for Critical Systems

Thursday, December 10th, 2026, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. - IRT Saint Exupéry, Toulouse, France - on-site and remote

First ONNX Meetup in Europe, 10 December 2026, Toulouse, France. A community event dedicated to the use, evolution and industrial deployment of ONNX, with a focus on safety and certification. Registration open, free but required, with a QR code to the registration page.

About this event

How can ONNX meet the requirements of critical systems? The first European ONNX Meetup is a workshop dedicated to the use, evolution and industrial deployment of ONNX in critical applications.

It brings together industrial users, researchers, ONNX contributors and technology experts to address key challenges in the deployment of machine learning models, from interoperability and verification to accuracy and performance. The workshop aims to:

  • Identify concrete industrial requirements and technical challenges associated with using ONNX in critical systems.
  • Explore existing solutions, research opportunities and potential improvements to the ONNX ecosystem.
  • Encourage collaboration and contributions towards more reliable, predictable and verifiable AI implementations.

Programme highlights

Agenda of the First ONNX Meetup in Europe: invited talks in the morning, technical discussions on six topics in the afternoon, and a hands-on session. The full programme is listed below.

Morning - Invited talks

  • Welcome and objectives of the workshop
  • ONNX: current status and roadmap
  • AI specification and implementation challenges for certified systems

Afternoon - Technical discussions and community contributions

Six topics will structure the discussions around the challenges and opportunities for ONNX in critical systems:

  • Specification: defining precise and unambiguous semantics for operators and models
  • Verification: establishing correctness and conformance of operators and models
  • Testing: developing effective testing strategies and supporting evidence
  • Implementation: addressing implementation constraints across execution frameworks and target platforms
  • Numerical accuracy: analysing numerical behaviour, precision and reproducibility
  • Timing analysis: assessing execution-time performance and predictability

Hands-on session - experiment with different AI implementation and execution frameworks and explore their capabilities and limitations.

The programme is subject to updates. The latest information is on the registration page.
